We are passionate about reading and I often think about my clients when I am reading books. There are so many books that can help us learn skills, reach our goals, and engage in lifestyle changes. Just the practice of reading alone can help us improve our mental health. And when added with a group discussion and practice, that can take us to a whole new level of personal growth.
We will read a particular book and together we will keep each other accountable. We will practice the exercises weekly and share what we learned, our challenges, and how we overcame them. Throughout our journey together we will learn many tools used in mental health work, such as mindfulness, cognitive reframing, restructuring, emotional reappraisal, and more. All of which will assist us on rewiring our brain, change our bodies, achieve our goals, and experience greater health.
Our book club happens on Wednesday 8 am (PST), yes, hump day morning to pump your week! The investment is only $35 per session. In our first edition, we will be working with our amazing capacity to transform our brain, neuroplasticity. We will start with Dr. James R. Dotty´s Into the Magic Shop. Then we will continue using mindfulness training to manifest what you truly want with his second book The Magic Mind. Finally, we will use the skills learned to maximize our personal growth with The Willpower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal, Ph.D.
