Here at Mind Over Matters, several of us are trained in using Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT) to help clients resolve feelings of isolation and loneliness associated with problems in the area of social interacting.

This type of therapy uses fun and specific targets of social signals to help people modify how they interact to improve those interactions, thus reducing feelings of cynicism, loneliness, and treatment resistant depression.

New research appears to be adding to the growing body of research that links social signaling to mental health. Check out how researchers in Japan are studying the social interactions of mice and finding that improved social interacting can lead to better mental health outcomes– at least in mice.
