Mary Lagerstrom

Hello, my name is Mary Lagerstrom and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Washington. I previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in foreign language and literature, specifically Spanish, French, and Latin.

I enjoy exploring communities by combining a lifelong passion for language learning with new food, music, and art. Having grown up in a multicultural community myself, I enjoy working with clients who call more than one community their home. I currently live in Taiwan and work primarily with clients who identify as “third culture” and/or “cross culture” individuals.

“Third culture” means their family has one culture, their outside community has another culture and they as individuals create their own intersection of the two to form their own. “Cross culture” means their family has one or more cultures and they have moved across more than one community in their life, which creates a rich, varied, cultural identity.

In my free time, I enjoy language learning, painting, running and spending time with my dog. I am fluent in English and Spanish, conversational in French and I am currently learning Mandarin Chinese. I look forward to connecting with you.
